Taking Responsibility

The time comes in everyone’s life that we have to face the music and realize that, whether we like it or not, we ourselves are creating our reality. When we keep doing the same thing over and over again we can be considered mad to expect different results. When we keep making excuses and blame other people and external factors for the eventual outcome of something, then we are not only failing to take responsibility of our lives, but we are selling ourselves short and demonstrating a character trait common in people who fail to succeed in anything.
By accepting responsibility, we are giving the power back to us and shaping the outcome ourselves. We start creating versus reacting. You are and always will be the Powerful Creator of your Reality whether you are conscious of it or not. So it makes sense to ask ourselves; what is it that I am choosing to create?
It is only when you accept that everything you are or will be is up to you, that you will become skilled at ridding yourself of the unconstructiveness of excuse making. We all have free will, and this you know because this free will of yours, you exercise quite freely by doing what you actually “want” to be doing:) Your 'free will' means that you are fully responsible for all of your successes and failures and you are responsible for your own happiness or unhappiness.

This may feel like an enormous responsibility but in reality this is the exact blessing we are given to live out our human existence. When you truly choose to accept responsibility for the outcome of your life, both personally and professionally, you start to feel your power and you can even start playing this fun “game” with the choices you make because when you are present and deliberate in your choices there is virtually nothing that you cannot achieve and accomplish. YOU are the key for YOU to reach your ultimate goals. How exciting is that?! So why would you not want to have fun with that creative power of yours? Why would you not want to accept it and own it!?

Sometimes, we do not go for IT because we paralyze ourselves with fear of failure. Nobody likes to fail and nobody likes to be seen failing so we may make goals but then we create excuses and fill up a bag of “why’s” in case we do not succeed. We blame this or that, this person, that friend of mine, that client, my partner, my spouse, that enabler, this party, that game, that stress, that type of a week… and so on and so forth.

Yet, the truth is that the more responsibility you take, the more in control you are and the more control you have.. and the more likely you are to reach your goals.

Accepting responsibility for everything that happens in your life helps you find your answers and discover solutions more quickly, and in accepting responsibility you accept a willingness to develop your character, and in doing that the stronger you become as a person and your life is destined to become the life you always wanted to live.

Taking responsibility for your actions equals SUCCESS!

Are you ready to accept full responsibility?
